The Life of Me

Harley Quinn Animated Series

Hey guys, gays, and gworls! I’m back at it like a crack addict with a review on the new DC Universe original, Harley Quinn Animated Series.

If you were expecting this show to be rainbows and lollipops or bats and vengeance, then I’m here to let you know it is the exact opposite. It’s nothing like Batman: The Animated Series nor any of its predecessors. This show is all gore, dark humor, and life lessons. Oh, and Harley going on a quest to find her own. Harley wants to be in the League of Evil, but she can’t do that while being under Joker’s side.

The first episode quickly shows us the toxic relationship that Harley and Joker have together. Joker could care less about Harley, yet she’s stuck in la-la land, loving a man that doesn’t love her back. It takes Killer Croc, Calendar Man, Poison Ivy, and a “sh*tty” seed from the Riddler for her to understand that her man doesn’t love her and that he has a boner for Batman. Sis really had to sit down and talk to a photo of her to realize that she’s a literal clown for Joker. She then evolves into the bad b that we know and love today by the end of the episode. “Til death do us part” right?

This episode was nothing short of jokes and gallons of margaritas that has so much playability. If you’re looking for a comedic and animated superhero/villain show to watch, this show is It! With new episodes releasing every Friday, I’m looking forward to more laughs and more margaritas. DC never misses their mark with their animated series, so I shouldn’t be surprised that this is bomb! I give this show a solid 10 out of 10. Let’s pray it stays the same!

Harley Quinn Animated Series is now streaming exclusively on DC Universe now!
