Jujutsu Kaisen – Star Plasma Vessel Arc

Hey guys, gays, and gworls! I’m back to talk about Jujutsu Kaisen’s “Star Plasma Vessel” arc!

This story arc takes place years before Yuji and the gang came to Jujutsu High. This story had taken place all the way back to when Gojo was a student. Gojo, Geto, and the gang were sent on a mission to secure Ruki, the star plasma vessel for their master Tengen. They had to make sure she had as much fun before she was sent to merge with Tengen permanently. Things began to become complicated once a bounty was set out on Ruki. Now, the Jujutsu High students and Ruki are being hunted down. Their challenge wasn’t taking on other mercenaries, it was taking on the danger that was Toji Fushiguro and surviving.

What I loved about this arc is that it gave us a more in-depth look into Megumi’s life and his being sold to the Zen’in family. In the previous arcs, it was briefly stated that Megumi did not grow up with his family, but he has grown up under the Zen’in family. During that time, we also saw young Gojo bringing Megumi to the Zen’in family.

It was also refreshing to see Gojo and Geto in action back before they reached their prime. It’s safe to say that Gojo has been doing the thing since he was in diapers. Although Gojo wasn’t as powerful as he was then, he was still the greatest! Seeing how Geto became one of the main villains was nice because we barely had gotten any information on him in previous chapters. It’s crazy how a cursed fruit could warp his thinking and turn him into the person he is now. I just hope that he doesn’t accomplish his task of killing all non-curse energy users.

Overall, the story arc was pretty meh to me. I’m guessing it was because it didn’t have as much action as other chapters. Nonetheless, it was still a great read! Jujutsu Kaisen is available to read on the Shonen Jump app.
